Top and bottom of pond 44.5 degrees.

Everything is under a solar cover. No water exposed to air.

Yes, I'm pleased! Any unburied PVC has black insulation around the pipe. Both BD's are still pulling.

Next year I'd like to tweak plumbing to shut off one BD and only pull my BD/Skimmer circuit. (One circuit is deepest BD and second is skimmer and BD wye-ing into one line).

So far so good on the winter trial run!

You guys must have done a good job of weatherizing that shed. It really helps that you are running two 3400 RPM pumps in the shed which helps keep things warm in there. For an added heat backup you might want to install a standard 100 watt incandescent light in the shed to help increase the temperatures as well.

Incandescent bulbs, what are those? Man, you must be at least 30 years old!

It ain't pretty but it's stuffed full of insulation. LOL

The two performance pros...plus the periha...plus the medo-80....plus another air pump....plus my hot breath in there staring at stuff. hahaha Didn't think one light bulb would make that much of a difference in a space that big. Easy enough to plug in.

Update that my system is still working flawlessly. I'm incredibly impressed!! Tom is SUPER quick to answer any questions and I have been beyond pleased with the customer service. I was nervous at first when I heard that Seaside was no longer selling RL products but am confident that I won't be left hanging based on the service I've received over the last year. Thanks Tom and keep on cranking, RL!

PS I have barely had to use my UV. My water was clear all summer!

How do you use the solar cover on your pond? Is it floating on the water or atop trusses off the water?

I just lay it right on top of the water. We tried a variety of different configurations to create structures but our pond is so large, everything fell in by the middle of winter. The last two years we just laid it across the surface and it worked fine.
