UV Filter without pressure lost (stainless steel)

      Hi.
Im trying to build a stainless steel ( interior will be polish) UV filter. I dont want to have any drop pressure in my pump (Flowfriend Standard). I want a flow of 40.000L/H ( 30.000 l/h for 2 bottom drain and 10.000l/h for 2 skimmers).
The UV filter will be after Profidrum 65/40.

      I have some questions:

      1) The 2x 110m Profidrum outlets will be enough to flow 40.000L/H of water from profidrum to UV filter?

      2) The 100mm diference "waterfall" will be enough to flow 40.000L/h ?

      Thanks

Wouldnt it be optimal to install the UV Lamp underneath the Profidrum, so that you have the UV working the Biofilm on the Drum screen?

That way you wont have any drop in flow, and you solve 2 problems at the same time.

The problem install the UV lamp in Profidrum filter is that have very low time contact with the water. The profidrum filter is indeed big and have lot fo water but is almost all blocked with the drum, so the water will pass the UV with very low contact with it and low eficiency. And its made of plastic, will not have the 30% gain from polish stainless steel.

The water in the UV filter will take more than 12s to pass the UV light, some of best UV pressure filters will only take 2s.

Your Right, myself i have a 80 watt amalgam sitting in the middle of a 1000 Liter pallet tank, alternativ you could install a small one in the drum on a Lower timer.

I have thought about putting Acrylic mirrors on all 4 sides of the panel tank, to give it even more reflektion... Maybe you could do something simular, might be cheaper than stainless.

Yes, anything that have a mirror surface would improve a lot the UV efficiency.
