So far, there has been just one confirmed sighting of Giant Hogweed — in Clarke County, Virginia, but the dangerous plant also grows in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Oregon, Washington, Michigan, Virginia, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, according to CBS.

Seeds for very close relative. Surprised to see someone selling seeds for this type of plant.

The D.E.C. Stopped by a house I was flipping to tell me that these were in the overgrown yard and that I would have to remove them myself. They gave me info on them and yes they do get big. It’s downright scary to get near them. You don’t even want to breath in the fumes. I wore protective clothing and immediately put them in a garbage bag so as not to spread the seeds. These are deceptive plants, as they look like an innocent flowering weed.
