I agree, it looks like it would be very refreshing.

Thanks for the followup. I'll shoot you a PM or email eventually. I need to start compiling a list of builders as well as architects, ETA about 2 - 3 years down the road to start building, and just beginning the thought process before an architect designs what I'm thinking about. Hopefully, by next year I can have enough of an idea to give to an architect to design. Anyhow, these threads help me see the work in more detail, and get more ideas, which is great.

Is there minimum size for you? I'm thinking anywhere from 2K-4K gallons, more if I can fit it, but the land and architecture design will dictate how big I can go.

Funny, I was thinking of a moat.
No real limits on size, I have a 5k pond that I will be driving to Texas to do and possibly a 3k pond in SoCal.

No, I won't be picking out any Koi, I thought it would be best if he bought locally.

Russ, Did you post the 5K pond in Texas on this website, I would like to see how it turned out. We are considering a 5 to 8k pond adjacent our recently completed hardscape landscape project in SA Tx.

No they went with someone else because they did not want to wait until I was available.
