I was very intrigued by these and ordered some.
They just came and I hung them outside.

I am a little confused...is it just salt? And sugar?
I guess the sugar and yeast attract the mosquitos and then the salt kills them once they ingest it?
It seems a little Mickey-mouse but well see what happens

Mosquitos love foundation plantings in the home garden they are dark and damp. thats why people that dont have plants have fewer mosquitos around. I heard there was some kind of vitamin you can take that makes you smell bad too them. not sure what it is though. I do know that some people with different blood types dont attract them me I am like Jerry Amos we taste sweet. I guess Nancy taste nasty.lol I would rather taste nasty

      Yep, thats how it works.
Thats how it works - mosquitos are attracted to the yeast & sugar, come in, eat the salt and die.

Sounds good to me...lets see if it works.
Also I wonder if you can DIY the refills since I cant find any online.

Hey Delbert - Did these work for you?
I honestly don't think that they did anything for me. At all.
I'm sure they'll say user error, but there are still plenty of mosquitoes outside

I drop these in my water plant pots and they seems to work great, never see any larva in there. I also chuck some down in my underground drainage around the house.

Going to check out those Spartans though...

The active ingredient in Mosquito Bits is a bacterium called B.t.i. (Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis) that’s deadly to mosquito larvae but harmless to other living things.
