Thanks Matt
Mike, good job! i've been a little absent this year, and just sort of collapsed after the oct. pulls. so only taking a peek at your thread now. i think you're right to dry out the ponds. it really is great that you can bring the kids inside. mine are down in the mud and between the flow-through water and the aquamedzyme, fish have been healthy and crossing fingers for an okay winter. Your fish all look good to me, and saying more would only expose my lack of gosanke knowledge, but you and matt know this! so. your kids definitely look clean and healthy. Wishing you, Cindy, the pack of hounds a happy, safe, Thanksgiving.

Thanks Max. Well wishes for you as wall. P.S. The babies did not get brought inside. The keepers were transferred to a larger pond where they will probably grow for another year before they get evaluated again.

Wow - just went thru this whole thread! Awesome job with spawning.
A lot of those babies are gonna be fun to watch grow into Nisai.
Some of the kohakus has like a lighter underlying beni beneath the surface beni. Does anyone know if this underlying beni get deeper as they get older? Does it just fade away? Does it say anything about the beni quality? just curious.
