Ok, I figured I'd finish this thread with the one-year measurement. This is the bigger of the two fish (by several inches). It's now sold to make room for gosanke.
Are you planning on getting your Gosanke as 2 or 3 year olds, the growth in your pond is very much accelerated wondering what it would do to the beni on a 1 year old going into the second year, btw beautiful koi.

My fish certainly haven't all grown like the karashi. I'm assuming you're asking about stretched beni. I have a few kohaku tosai I'll have to check.
Not too shabby but I’ll shut if anyone can grow any gosanke that fast
If you could grow a gosanke 20 inches in a year and not stretch the beni then you would break a record and we would all worship you. It just wont happen.

I have a tancho kohaku that has grown really fast--but there's no beni to stretch LOLOL.
