Hey everyone, I haven’t been on here much lately. The clownfish breeding was going well and I ended up raising several different varieties And even had a table at the last MTRC frag swap. I got a little burnt out last summer and took a break but got back into it in the last month. I told myself I wouldn’t try to raise them all because I end up filling tanks in a few weeks and have to raise and sell all of those before I have room for new batches. I’ve already got 6 tanks of fry in The last couple of weeks so so much for that idea.
Also within the last week I have had a batch of seahorse fry and a pipefish I bought had babies as well. So far raising them is going well.
Here are some pictures and videos from the clownfish, seahorses, and pipefish.

      Thanks!

Yeah, I haven’t posted in quite a while. I’ll try to check in from time to time. Just had a lot of other things going on. The pond and koi are doing well also.

Hey, Mike. Great to see you on here, and all of your "projects" going great. Your clown fish look great as do the pipe fish also, but I am partial to the seahorses. You have a "wet thumb" for them all to be doing so well.

Wow thats neat. I'm a big fan of davinci clowns
Whats your experience with clowns? I've read that you can only keep 2 in a tank unless you try a harem of 8+...what are your thoughts?

It really depends on the size of the tank and the individual fish. I have a pair of ocellaris and a pair of black storms in my 110 gal. reef tank and they all get along fine. The ocellaris pair has been in there for years and are breeding and the storms were added about a year ago. The ocellaris stay in an anemone on one side and one of the storms stay in an anemone on the other side and the smaller storm stays mostly near the bottom of the tank under where the pair of ocellaris are. They rarely interact and if they do it isn’t violent. The ocellaris pair just keeps the storms away from their anemone mostly.

Well actually a lot of times they have a wide variety of offspring these are all from one batch from “frostbite” parents.

That was last year and it went very well. I didn’t have baby seahorses until a couple of weeks ago. This year I hear it is going to be freshwater as well as saltwater.

I just looked it up and it’s June 20 at the fairgrounds. I lost all the dwarf seahorses. I’m not sure why exactly. They just slowly died off.

Sorry you lost the dwarf sea horses. I understand they are not easy to keep. Maybe they need baby brine shrimp.
