Horsetail

Recieved my order for Horsetail Rush yesterday. Dwarf and regular. I like these.

I have had the regular type for years. I like it too. It spreads like crazy. The dragonflies love to perch on it. Stays green year round.

Make sure it is contained well. I planted some dwarf in dirt near my pond and I've been fighting it for 4 years, much like running bamboo. It can pop up 20 feet from the host plant.

Already had some dragonflies stop by. Glad it multiplies a lot i really like the look.

Keep the pots in the pond. I have horse tail rush growing in some bushes about 15 feet from the pond where it started. Of course I have a lot of taro that started in the pond also, naturalizing the area around the pond. I had parrots feather and after pruning the mat that extended out over the pond, threw the pieces in the compost pile. Dug compost and worked it into a flower bed in the front yard, and magically had parrots feather growing through out that bed. Finally got it all pulled up and killed off. Most marginals grow as well or better in the yard as in the pond.

Hi there. Quick question: are there holes at the bottom of these pots? And after this point, if you kept them in the pond, did you keep them in pots with or without holes? I have seen different suggestions on the Internet. And so, I am unclear. Thanks!
