Hi, can you tell me what rpm the motor is turning the roller and plus the torque needed. How wide is your sieve and the length of material. Thanks for sharing, this with us, a great build, you are a craftsmen.

Hello,
to your questions - i can´t tell you what rpm the motor is running and how the torque is - sorry - because i use normal wiper motor from cars. In my filter works a wiper motor from VW/AUDI. This can run with different speeds - also it is important if you use 10V or 14V and so on. Torque from wiper motors are very high - i can´t stop the motor by hand!
My sieve is about 70cm (27,5 inch) wide, and the length is about 350cm (137,8 inch). This you can build, how you want! The length is the summary of rolls and how long you make the filter itself!

Thank you for the info.
I have several DC motors, one is 12 vdc turns 50 rpm variable speed and high torque is about 8 ft lbs. This one I can get a gearbox for, giving it 5 rpm and 100 ft lbs of torque. The other two are huge in size 1/4 hp right angle reduction from 500 rpm to 22 rpm, not sure of the torque but its a lot. Thus the reason for my question. I'm guessing the ideal speed for the sieve is around 7-10 rpm. Now that I know the width of the sieve and length of filtered area/flow your getting I can scale for my needs. I'm excited.

Hello,
in Part 11 i show, how i make the roll, which tighten the sieve and have the motorunit!

Love this build. When can we expect to see more posts?
Hello,
sorry that i stopped my tutorial!
Here is part 12 - you can see how i make a rubber on the driver roll. I use self amalgamating tape like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/tesa-4600-Am...E7M1DS34XJYBDS
This is important, that the sieve will be transported!

Hello,
in Part 13/1 and 13/2 i show how i make my sieve/belt endless. This is realy difficult, but with a zipper in the right lenght - and some hours of work - i got my endless sieve!

Hi, Roland
I really enjoy your build. Wish there was a translator on U tube a lot is missed.

Hello,
with language is realy a problem - my english is not very good. If you have any question - feel free to ask.
I will endeavor to answer, i use the google translator!

Your English is probably better than my german... Did you consider making the screen without the zipper? Just sew it together? I realize that assembly would be more difficult, but how often do yo expect to have to change the screen?
Hello,
yes i consider to make the screen without zipper - but than you have to take apart the complete filter, to install a new screen. Normally, the screen can be used for many month, maybe some years.

Hi, In the one video you had to trim the screen on one edge. Why? and how did you deal with the, now rough edge to keep it from fraying. Thanks in advance..

I expect it will last years unless it gets damaged. One more question - what flow rate do you expect this filter to handle? Ok, I lied... One more question - will the motor and cleaning shower run continuously or will you use a level switch to turn them on when the screen gets dirty?
Many dankes!
Hello,
i hope i understand your question - The edge of the screen I've dealt with a soldering iron and additionally sewn.

Thanks Roland, that works for me, simple.

Hello,
in part 14 i show how you could make yourself an bulkhead to connect 2 filtercontainers. It is an easy way, and you can make it really big. My connector is 30x20cm (11,8x7,8inch).

You must be a mechanical engineer going by your drawings and fabrication. Very nice work. I speak a little German, but had to use Google Translate to make sure I got it right.

Hello John,
sorry - but my job is papermaker and i work on a big papermachine! It is only hobby, with some ideas that i want to realize!
Ich finde es toll, dass du versuchst in Deutsch zu schreiben. Verwende für mein englisch auch Google Translate
(i like that you write in german - for my english statements i also use google translate)

Hello @All,
today i show you the video from my first run of my filtersystem! The endlesssieve filter is taken to the filterchamber, and my first cleaning starts. This was last year - from this time my filter works very well until today!
i have made some smaller changes, and if you look on my video channel, you can see this upgrades!
