OMG, who were the proud parents of such a "rare" fish? Like W.C.Fields used to say, "a sucker born every minute"!lol

A little off topic, but to make things even more confusing there are a number of animals where gray coloring is referred to as blue. Such as chickens, blue australorp or lemon blue OEG. And dogs too, like blue merle coloring.

I had some fry this summer that looked pretty blue for a while... but that was short lived.

I have a sorigoi that is blue. Not as electric blue as the origional photo the op posted but prity blue non the less. This photo is when I first got her at about 5 months ago 7-8 inches now she is just over 12 inches. The breder that I got it from has some awsome verry blue sorigois and great yamabuki ogons the rest of his blood likes are ok but his sorigois keep a verry blue color as they grow in his breeding pond he has some that are 2+ ft and blue not gray as they usually turn with age.

Its a slate blue, more gray in tone. I think true blue is what people would love to see.

I would love to get an updated pick but the pond is netted with leaves all over it. It looks the same color wise but just longer and some more girth. I will see if I can get a decent pick this weekend.

I agree, that seems blue to me. I have a Shusui that has a similar blue hue to the color seen in a few of the Ki Shusui from Koigirl, but not that deep nor as rich as that blue in the doubble tap fish.

      Who is the breeder/dealer?

The breader is a John from river road koi in Long Island NY. He does not ship though I asked because I have a friend in SC who saw a pick of storm and wants one bad. I might have to pick one out for her and ship it myself to her. He's not selling now but told me that he has some great looking ones coming out in spring time.
