Algae and UV - Need help!

I've inherited my dad's koi pond. Lightning struck and took out the UV light, power source for it, 9 large koi, and the pump. This was 2 summers ago. I have replaced the pump, but I don't know how to do the UV light its power source. The power source's cord is blown to bits, and I can't get the part that plugs into the lamp off the cap-looking thing. Can anyone walk me through what I need and how to switch it? My pond is looking neon green at this point from the algae!

It's possible that the lightning strike melted or fused the cap. I have one of their UVs. Can you take a pic of the problem end?

It may be better to simply purchase a new UV at this point. Take a pic so we can see the details.

My advice is to buy a new UV. The lightning will probably have fried all the electrics, not just the cable.

Far safer, easier and probably cheaper in the long run just to get a new one. Plus get a bigger one! More is more! lol

I can unscrew the entire top two caps from the base, but I can't get the two top pieces apart. What do I need to do?

So where's the best place to buy these things? Online? Does it come in any kind of kit, where I get the bulb, caps, rings, and power supply?
