      mouth sore

I purchased a 18 inch hi utsuri from my dealer and when I got it home I saw a sore inside its mouth. it looks like something took a chunk out of its bottom lip and thesore goes inside the mouth. I put my salt level up to 3 ppt and have been keeping a close eye on it it looks like its not getting any worse but I was wondering if there is anything else I should be doing. she is still eating and swimming around like normal I just don't want it to get any worse or cause any more problems

Take it back to the dealer. You want your money back.

I would call the dealer and see what could get worked out as well. It may be a lost cause though as you had the chance to view and inspect the koi before making the purchase.

Tri-cide neo should take care of it. When one of mine years ago had a really bad ulcer on its mouth the tri-cide took care of it completely in short order.

Whats the temperature of your water? You should put it into Quarantine and slowly start to raise the temp to about 68-75 degrees. This will keep your fish's immune system running at its peak. Can you get some pics? Also look into koizyme
