Doesn't specify but it does not appear to be Marusei![]()
I knew one of them was, it was Todd's bloodline for breeding. http://www.birdmanstudios.com/chagoi-site/chagoi.html
I was just looking back at his stuff the other month, this one stuck out...
It took awhile to find it, but I believe Dan's Ochiba/Chagoi were from the Hosakai. At the point of the thread, he had not yet introduced the Doitsu Saragoi that I can tell and I cannot find a reference to its breeder.

That is the same off spring of the thread I found, but still no mention of the Doitsu Soragoi's origins. The Doitsu Soragoi and the Hosakai Ochibe were the parent stock I believe for Creekds Ochiba "Olivia". Its the same parent stock as my Soragoi and Chagoi. Maybe if I run though his profile over there I can find a mention to the Doitsu's origins. If not, I will just ask him at the show this weekend if he is there.
Dan is closed from what I am told. City came in and started charging for storm water for his pond run offs and then a flood came in and took out a bunch of his parent stock. So not sure what is left of the parent stock at this point. I know he breeds a little still more for the joy of the hobby, but he didn't get a booth last year or this year for Orlando. I haven't seen him since 2012 before it all hit, hopefully I get a chance to see him at the show.
I talked to Dan before the CFKS, and he & I were both looking for a shiro. I do not believe he will be breeding professionally, just as a hobbiest. He was not sure if he would make it to the show, because of problems with his truck.
I on the other hand bought a 15" Shiro from Quality Koi, and an 25" Ochiba from Kodama. Again, I did not plan to spend any money at the show.......ah.....
