2013 Group buy and Grow out

For those of you interested we are looking at a group buy of koi to grow out in competition. This one would be open to all Koiphen users. Our first decision is to location of the Koi. Our options are US Bred vs Japan bred. Please only vote if you are interested in participated in the purchase.

I am willing, but my main preference is Japan. If you want to possibly join in, hit USA and you may end up being the first of many.

I tried and tried to purchase... had one picked out and waiting to send money, but never heard from him again.

Japan all the way, simply because I have one lonely import in my collection and he needs a buddy

How about some amazing koi from Purdin Koi Farm, Bill and Maureen said they would be happy to choose some really nice koi for the grow-out. We were out there a few months ago, the parent stock is un-real and the off spring is top notch. I think everyone would be super happy with the outcome in the next year with the growth that can be expected out of these. Showas, Kohaku and Sanke would be available along with a few nice Tancho's. I have attached a few pictures of the quality that is available.

Frank, vote is heavy on the Japan side. Your going to have to sell the US option big time. You can hit the other post as well to get the US side picked as well.

i am just excited to try the growout, i voted japan but also open to nice quality domestic. i dont know who is able to organize something like this but i am excited non the less. count me in.

Any varieties from Japan with an established bloodline. Maybe even from a lesser known breeder for better quality tosais.

The pictures of the Purdin koi were nice ones, just thinking a person might get more bang for their buck there.
