That heat out there is bad and that there **** is making me MOISTE. I bout melted down too a big ole pool of lard. just . afew pics of things not much different.
This summer started out pretty good as far as my plants are concerned. Most of the plants performed well and the pots were pretty then all the 100 degree weather and the mosquitos from all of the rain earlier hit. I could not stand the heat of bugs and was sick most of the summer my plants did not get the care they needed and I lost some of them. Still not feeling the best. I did plant some seeds off of my Variegated Calidora and they seem too be really growing they are inside away from the heat. A friend also sent me some of his seeds but they got lost in the mail for a week and have not sprouted for me. I also have a friend whos mother plpanted some desert rose seeds and gave me 2 of the babies. so that is what I am playing with right now.
They are looking good.
Don't blame yourself that some of your plants have died. I had the same temps with less rain than you have had. I was out there caring & watering my Taro and most have died anyway. Something has been very different with the weather for the last two years. I follow several homesteaders on Facebook and they are saying the same thing. Something has changed.
Big Mama finally recovering from her pregnancy I thought those 4 seed pods were going too ruin her, The leaves are getting large again. She is my favorite I think. I wish I had an Albo just like her the same size and everything. I was hoping someday she would have a pup. I guess her seedlings were the reward of keeping her alive. By the way she is over 8 foot tall from the bottom of the pot.
Ok I had a couple of guys come over yesterday too move the plants closer too the porch so I can start cleaning them up and culling. We had a big storm last night and they dont look great this morning but I was going too chop off tons of leaves anyway because they are too tall too go onto the porch. Its the end of a season lets us hope that the plants dogs and I make it through too another one,
