Looking good Gary !! Did you get the big rain Fayetteville got ?
I can’t believe I got one week of low humidity now it’s going to get in the low forty’s
I’m going to have trouble
well it said it was only 41 and this is going too be the coldest for a while so I got a reprieve and its a good thing I woke up with gout again this morning luckily I still have meds.
like too have killed me and I have not slept yet so dont know if I will wake in the morning or not but got 80 plus pots moved and my bottom is dragging, the first pic has 20 smaller pots all setting in or on the edges of an old hot tub.of course I loaded the pics backwards but you can see how much I moved. I is tired but ready for the . low of 31 effin degrees tonight. Real early for us.
Probably the last outside pics of the year. I really like this dahlia. it was one of the 50 cent pcks that I picked up at walmart at the end of the season.Well there is not a lot left but was walking by one of the water troughs and noticed this Impatient trying really hard too bloom. Found a few more shots too go with it probably the last for the season.I know the Dahlia is the best pic but my eyes are getting bad.
Wow love the peppers what is it called?
Ok here is some more of my mistreated plants. These are in the window by my sink even though it faces south they dont get enough or the right kind of light, They are right above the sink and really need too be repotted and I forget too water all the time. They are Hoya's or Wax Plants and all are supposed too be variegated. The one with the bigger leaves that is real variegated the middle part of that plant belonged too the almost solid green one, it had rooted there and I did not know it. Then one has a variegated Sanseveria in it too, I have had all for a few years. The little leafed one does not grow much. Ok I have a horrible tale too tell about 2 housplants that I walk by everyday a 100 times at least. I brought them in last winter and forgot about them, I tokk the lightest one of them outside this spring but it was after I had moved all the other pots out and I was just give out. Well I never gave them another thought. I dont remember even watering them but I might have and not remembered it. Yesterday I noticed them when I almost left the plant that I took outside out too freeze. It looked really bad the summer did a number on it its misshaped and needs more potting soil I will try and do that tomorrow. The other 2 I had too cut out all kind of dead leaves and stems but for something growing without light in a corner in my den they are remarkable. The green one is outstanding it has some leaves that are 3 foot high. I moved them in front of the lights for the winter and actually watered them.lol
A friend of mine just told me she was going too give me a start of her wax plant that belonged too her Aunt and my Great Aunt by marriage. She has had it over 30 years.
Nancy I am not sure I will just have too wait until I see it. When I lived at home I had one for years and it had long narrow green leaves with silver spots. I had it for years and years we even sold them in the greenhouse for a time. Then one year they got scale so we had too let it die too get rid of the scale.
I got this old Coppertone Sansevieria for a friend of Joyce Griggonis down to Texas years ago very slow grower. This plant is always the most difficult plant too grow. Its so odd shaped and top heavy it will never grow straight for me. I finally just stuck it in this old antique brass bucket that Debbie and Dale brought back from Germany . It does not have any drainage but I put lots of rocks in the bottom. Its not like I am going too remember too water it anyway but it does look better in this pot.
Not yet I have a runner off of a green wild EE that is in one of the troughs and it has leaves floating on the water but its been this way most of the winter
You know its kinda pathetic but my whole life revolves around 2 weeks around the first of April. I get too go greenhousing. Thats driving too Tulsa with my cousin and going to 5 or more greenhouses and nurseries and then going too Fort Smith and Fayetteville. 2 weeks out of a year and this year I cant do that. Thats a shame. Ordering online is not the same. Its sad that the people that take time too grow a good product cant even allow people too see their work.I know that most of these places just buy and resale but there are some that really grow a lot of what they sell and those friendly Mom and pop nurseries are going too be hit the hardest. Places like Lowes and Walmart dont even own the plants untill its sold. That is why some of those places dont take care of the plants.
