Hi Showa vs Hi Utsuri... or other??

Hi all~ I have a question... but let's first start with what I know... I know the main differences between the Hi Showa and the Hi Utsuri. I've been reading about them. I wanted a Hi Utsuri and they seem pretty scarce... I wanted a small one to watch it grow. We went to our local Koi dealer, and seen a small fish that looked like a Hi Utsuri. We got it home and it's in our inside aquarium. We didn't pay a lot for it, but would like to know what I have. I know it's not super quality, whatever it is, but I just want to know.

      Now here's the questions...

It's orange and black. The orange and black stop before it gets to the belly which is white. Everything I read suggests it's a Hi Showa... however other things do not make sense... like the fins are all black, the tail is all black, inside the mouth is black. I have a picture but it's taken while it was in the tank and the bag. I just got my blue show bowl today and haven't pulled it out yet... but will... so keep in mind the pics aren't super...

      What do I have here?

If there is not white on the koi it is a Hi Utsuri.

The only failures are those that stop trying! There is a very thin line between procrastination and delayed gratification. You won't be happy with what you want, if you aren't happy with what you have. It's not what you are looking at, but where you are looking from.

The white on the belly doesn't count as white because the fish is viewed from the top. Also, most fish have a white belly.

Well... thank you very much. I hope my show tank gets here soon... I'm dying to get it set up and bring the babies in for the winter...
