2010 WWKC Internet Koi/Goldfish Show Announcement

The site of the new 2010 WWKC Internet Koi Show is up and running. Information on the entry requirements for the hobbyist koi show, the breeder koi show, and the goldfish show are posted, though there will be additions to the rules for the videos which we will be assessing this year for size 5 and size 6 koi.

Get your pictures and videos ready. Entries cannot be made to the show until September 1st, but that is only a few short weeks away. Entry deadline is October 5th, which is again, only a few short weeks.

We are hoping for a show that surpasses the show of last year, both in number of fish entered and quality of fish.

We are excited to have breeders able to enter this year, and hope many will take advantage of this opportunity to showcase there works of art.

"Our goal is to assist with emergency and Koi health issues, as well as educate on best practices. Please help us gain a clear picture by giving the original poster time to answer our questions before offering opinions and suggested treatments."

The clock is ticking. So far, we don't hve much competition for you, so get in and get showing. I will request the show tanks be viewable starting early next week. Breeders are welcome to get their fish on site, also. The trophies are waiting for sponsorship.

Hey Rich, I want to sponsor all 4 Long Fin Grand champion awards, but don't want to do 4 separate pay pal bills, Can you or some one else send me one pay pal bill for all 4 sponsorships?

For everyone with koi and goldfish, which includes koi breeders, your fish need to have their pictures entered in the show to show how much you appreciate them.

I looked at the show site and maybe I missed it but I did not see the rules as to what size fish in Size 1 class, etc. Which classes qualify for Baby Grand Champion, etc.

Did I miss it or where is it.

      Thanks

The information tab has the rules, which defines that Baby Champion is from size 1 and size 2, and Young champion from Size 3 and 4, and Adult Champion from Size 5 and 6, GC from any size.
      The sizes, 1 under 8", 2 from 8-12, 3 from 12 to 16, 4 from 16 to 20, size 5 from 20 to 24 and size 6 all over 24".

The entry page requires you to enter a length and then it assigns the size. Hope this helps.

For the Videos, they need to be uploaded to YouTube, and then the link entered on the entry form in the appropriate block. If you were to copy the YouTube URL, you would post something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPxDw7ajfGE but it needs to be pruned of the "watch?" and the "=" replaced with the "/" so that it looks like this http://www.youtube.com/v/xPxDw7ajfGE
