      Part liner / part concrete?

In the following picture, is there a way for the liner to end at the red arrow and continue with block construction on up? Not sure what that would accomplish, other than saving a few feet of liner..... I feel sure it would be difficult to seal, but.....?

      Please forgive the crude drawing

      I wouldn't advise it.

The only failures are those that stop trying! There is a very thin line between procrastination and delayed gratification. You won't be happy with what you want, if you aren't happy with what you have. It's not what you are looking at, but where you are looking from.

      Im with Gene

You would spend more money trying to seal it off than the extra money you would have spent on the liner in the first place.

If you wanted to attempt concret and liner, why not just build the whole thing out of concrete? Concrete is relativly cheap if you are capable of laying the block and forming the forms. I constructed a 12000 gallon pond out of block and poured concrete for the floor and walls for less then $2000.00

What did you seal it with? What was the cost of the sealer alone?

I didnt say that I was able to seal it at that price. However I did use a sealer that was recommeneded to me by Ray Abell, and it was only 40 dollars a gallon. But before I could apply the coating the pond had to be plastered smooth.
