Those are some seriously straight walls, nice work! I probably skimmed over where you discussed this, but is it going to be a block wall build or solid poured?

Man, I am so out of my league....

First, I originally thought that your filter pit WAS the actual pond.....that is, until I saw the pond dig.

Second....$850 bucks just for the permit? My POND budget is $850 bucks....

.....it may be time for my wife to pick up a second job.......

I pimp out my wife to pay for her half of the pond, she owns half of everything anyway................

You need to work on getting the wife interested in koi. Mine only stays with me because I told her she can take half of them if she leaves... which half of each koi is up to her.

Some shots of the filter pit. Tom is building the platform for the Seives and pouring the floor in the upper bio-filter and spill area before I go back next weekend. The second shot is of the upper spill and the trough return valve bulkheads for the four returns on the back wall.

This level of quality for a pond demands some pretty awesome koi as inhabitants!

      Kent,

What's the purpose of the upper TPRs? It was my understanding that TPRs are intended (in addition to simply returning water to the pond) to help clean the bottom of the pond, moving debris towards the BDs. If so, what's the purpose of trying to move the entire water column?
