Bart that's a very nice filter pit you have there....maybe we will be able to make a quick visit to see your new home and pond area while there at the show! Also, what is that lining the walkway on either side?

Looks pretty darn nice to me. And who cares how it looks anyway. It's how it works that counts.

Sorry, I'm pit-less. I do have an equipment pad hidden behind my waterfall and my bio filters are under my deck. Now lets see if I can find a shot or two of it...

1st attempt - No outside help - and it shows !

Pictures tell the story. Got the pond running; looked at it and said the infamous words:

      You know.. I could've done ....

      [IMG][/IMG]
Still going strong. No major leaks - #3 outflow for cleaning needs to be tighten.

      [IMG][/IMG]
The 2nd pump line turned into a UV circuit and the water feature turned into a pond water hose ( to flush barrels). And yes, the system is off (Hey ! His ball is closed!)

I'm planning a major re-do (OK I'm tearing it out and replacing it with what should of been done the first time... Slow learner here. (See the dream pond thread). But that's down the road; a little ways.. down the road.

The only real difference is the 4" pipe to gravity feed out of Nexus, needs to be at the right height 4-3/4" down from lip)to keep water level in bio chamber at the 2" draw down line. Where the gravity feed, the pump pipe is under grate in the Nexus. Which boils down to the right pump for either setup(3200-3400 GHP. Also if you do have a bigger pump then needed and your flow is higher 3200-3400 the 4" pipe will be surging(burping)so have to find right balance point gravity return setup.

I also used a 4" compression fitting so you could adjust the four inch pipe up a smudge or down.
