How can i force my koi to spawn? Wich are the conditions needed for a natural spawning?

And does any body now how the culling process for kohaku works?

Warm water, spawning substrate, preferably two males to one female, and it works best in shallower water.

Throw in some floating plants for the eggs

Are koi likely to spawn in a 300 gal tank? I would put maybe 2 males and 1 or 2 females in it. Will they be gunshy in such a small space? They usually are in 10k gals.

Had 12 in a 300 gallon last July and they had no problem making a mess for me.

What is an ideal temperature to maintain to promote a spawn?

Ideal spawning temp is 68. Did the females go through a cold spell? They usually need that to produce eggs from what I hear. A cold spell is about 55 for a certain amount of time.

I would like to say 68 (20c) is a minimum then 78 (25C) or higher is an ideal.....
Fry are weak in sudden change of water temperatures so it is safe to wait till a stable weather/tempature.... May, June or even July depend on a region.
