Kat - are those rubbermaid containers?? Do you have any filtration in them? It looks like the water is moving in one of the pics. Very pretty lillies!! I am thinking about doing something like that for my lillies this spring.

I have several above ground 30" deep/350 gallon animal stock tanks that I grow some of my lilies in. I run a pump in each one year round. The lilies are on cinder blocks to bring them up to the right height. If I haven't gotten lazy or too busy, the plants will get dropped down to the bottom once it gets into December. Most of the tropicals have survived when I've not gotten them dropped down. One year we had an ice storm & most of the top was frozen over, but I still didn't loose that many lilies. I also have 2 liner & timber ponds that keep more lilies, they are about 20" tall. Considering I didn't divide or fertilize lilies for close to 3 years, they look fantastic now after I divided & fert the tropicals about 2.5 months ago. This fall/spring I have the chore of dividing all of the hardies.

Kat, You are as bad as me when it comes to the lilys! I love those containers. All mine that are not in the ponds are in landscape timber ponds and a 500 gallon pool from costco. :D

Kat Your lilies are just beautiful!! I am thinking about containers next spring so I can have more lilies. If you can, I would love to see a pic of your containers and also where did you buy them?

Kathy--I wanted something fast, so this was my solution. They certainly aren't very pretty.

Nancy--they are just common animal stock tanks that you can get at feed stores. I don't remember the brand name on these. I was buying them in Oklahoma & hauling them down here. I like these better than Rubbermaid tanks since they have a wider edge.
