Some ornamental grasses around the place, some haven't put up their plumes yet. These are Miscanthus silver feather, miscanthus gracillumus, Karl Forester, Overdam, and some zebra/porcipine grasses (all perennial) and a couple purple fountain grass (annual for us). Gotta love these, nice movement in the breeze and no fuss or care. We just cut them down in the Fall and that's it.

Around here, an untended field ends up about 18 inches high with waving bermuda grass... its very pretty. Like waves on the ocean.

Don, "Claritin D" :To funny: So glad I don't have allergies!! We have only three gargoyles. Let me see if I can find a picture with the other two in it. We got the winged lion as a wedding gift. It's my favorite.

Don, he's not the same as yours. Ours is "Feast on fools"...here's a couple photos of him and the other one near him. We also have a little one of "fools". We store them inside for the winter and haul them back out in the Spring. They are very heavy, it's a two man job, with a wheelbarrel. We had stone pads built into the retaining walls to hold each one. :)

I can't imagine having 100. You must have one of every type, Don. I think they look pretty cool in the garden. The big winged lion is lit up at night where he takes on a 'larger than life' presence.

PS...Don, you should start a "Gargoyle forum section". You might bring some more out of the woodwork...never know who has some!

Those are nice ones,.. I will start a thread when I get home after I take some pictures. Not sure where I will post it, but I will let you know.

Some people get freaked at the gargoyles,.. people that don't understand their purpose.

I like my gargoyles. They look like they just landed there and are basking in the sun. I tend to steer toward the 'friendlier' face ones, so we don't scare the little ones. :)

Hmm..wasn't able to log in to that site. Forgot a password or something. It won't let me jump to it automatically. Maybe there could be a 'Garden Accessories' section, everything from pond protection to garden accessories. I think your gargoyles would be a cool addition to it.

Tina,
No we don't have any variagated evergreens, though I do love them. Saw one onetime, it looked like it was a snow tipped christmas tree. Always wanted one, forgot about that until you asked.
Slackjeep, this place IS too big to keep the way we like to. Always something that needs to get weeded or mulched etc. We wind up working around here from sunup to sundown, but it's our hobby too. It's always fun to show our hard work to new people. It's like us seeing it with fresh eyes, makes us appreciate how much we have gotten done and not so much what still needs to be done. :)
