I did some trading. Received some bleeding heart small 'twigs'. What do I do with the twigs?

I'm trying to find out from the sender as well.

Bumping in the hopes that someone will know. Do you mean the dried flower?? Or is it a stem?

Double S,
Those are most likely root divisions. They are very brittle. Plant them (the whole twig) in a shady, moist area with minimal competion from other plants. If you see little bumpy areas on them plant so the bumps are facing up. Spring is the optimal time since they tend to go dormant in the heat. Mark the area so they are undisturbed and keep them moist. Don't count on them for anything other than springtime display. Depending on what kind they are they may go heat dormant, fernleaf bleeding heart are the best for lasting into summer and there are those in a perfect environment that last into the heat a bit if well shaded and kept moist.

They look like dried stems. No bumps or anything.

The trader replied to me - said plant horizontaly and water.

They are root divisions then. Good luck with them :)

I have BH ,although I'm not an expert ... but I would be wary of this buyer. Sounds funny to me.

cezhart - is your BH in shade or sun? I'm in KS, so probably same zone as you.

I didnt buy the BH. Traded some iron cross for it.
