Mike,

Maruten Sanke. When there is beni on the body as well, it is not tancho, it becomes Maruten.

Well you talked me into it, Mike. I spent 8 hours in the car yesterday (had to do a little detour), and picked up a Kumonryu, platinum butterfly, and kujaku. What a beautiful selection! They are all doing well this morning in my QT. I told Matt you sent me. Thanks to GPS navigation on my car, I got there without a single wrong turn. Gotta love those 'Route configuration devices'. If you can tolerate a female voice telling you "Prepare to turn left in 300 yards".."Now turn left" etc. for several hours, you'll never get lost again or need a map. :) Ponderingkoi

Between me stinking at taking pictures of moving objects with the digital camera and the fish not holding still (!), I don't seem to get good photos. I'll see what I have...be back in a minute. Ponderingkoi

Here are some terrible photos of what I got at Sugarloaf koi Sunday. A Kumonryu that looks like a blue zebra on the sides, a kujaku, and a platinum butterfly. Ponderingkoi PS...I loved the ones Matt posted, but can't quarantine fish that size with my current set up. He had some GORGEOUS larger koi there...and I am talking HUGE.

Here are my terrible pics of a kumonryu I picked up at Sugarloaf. Pics dont do the fish justice.

You are one lucky kid! AND you live so close to Sugarloaf Koi. My sister lives in Hyde Park, in Dutchess county...so I'll have to do combination trips and hit both Sugarloaf and her at the same time. It's a long ride back home for the koi and me...4 hours with no stops. Check out those big guys in the back tank!! Ponderingkoi
