Don't anone Know how Tommys measure his goldfish on his auction , when he states the 4" or 6" Size is this the total length :confused:
tip of head/ mouth to end of tail
or
just tip of head/ mouth to base of tail

Tommy measures total length, so that is from nose-to-tail. Reasonably accurate from my experience. The red and black was described as being 5 inches in the auction. The red and white was described as being 6.5 inches. These are photos I took of the incoming fish as soon as I pull them out of the shipping bag.

- Wayne, notes that there is a HUGE difference in going up just a half inch in length as the girth and volume of the fish usually goes up dramatically, all else being equal -- also a short tail fish like a ranchu will be a beast at 7 inches compared to a longtail 7 inch oranda.
