I think the unfortunate aspect is many people used F&S brands or Blackwater on feeding. The price was good on F&S while the Blackwater food was a stable price that beat out everyone due to the volume they purchased, and of course sales made it better. A 40lb bag of Gold N was 140 and change and could drop down to 115 with a good sale. Other places buying less volume are selling at $180-$290 with is a pretty heafty jump. Hopefully the brands or buying power stays with Petco and the F&S site is run like normal with Petco being behind it. If not then hopefully someone else can get good volume pricing and offer stuff out.

Dr’s Foster and Smith and Blackwater Creek Premium Koi and Goldfish Food

Hello Everyone,
I know there has been a lot of news recently regarding the loss of ability to purchase Blackwater Brand Premium Koi and Goldfish Foods through Doctors Foster and Smith online.

Dr’s Foster and Smith, one of the largest on-line pet suppliers in the world, announced last month that they would be ceasing operation in February 2019.
This news certainly comes as a surprise to many of their loyal customers and suppliers as well.
As many of you know, DFS was one of the largest distributors in the USA of Blackwater Creek Koi and Goldfish diets made by Aquatic Nutrition at substantial discounts.

We here at Aquatic Nutrition want you to rest assured, you will still be able to purchase the Blackwater Creek brand directly from us, the manufacturer at a great price and in many cases…FREE SHIPPING.

By purchasing Blackwater Creek brands directly from us at Aquatic Nutrition, you are guaranteed the freshest, made in the USA diets available for your finned friends.

Aquatic Nutrition always uses only the finest ingredients, such as Premium Grade Menhaden Fish Meal for a protein source (no Porcine/Pig Fat here!)
In addition, some of our diets also include Pre-biotics, Pro-biotics and ANI-b, our very own, all-natural immune booster plus.

***Gold-N Professional Feeds now contain ANI-b. ANI-b was researched and developed through collaboration between Aquatic Nutrition Inc, Blackwater Creek Koi Farms Inc. and a select group of experts from many areas of the world. ANI-b maximizes nutrient uptake while increasing disease resistance and promoting faster healing. Your fish go through many stressors throughout the seasons including fluctuating water temperatures, stressful spawning events, handling and transportation... just to name a few.***

FOR THE FRESHEST FEED, HIGHEST QUALITY INGREDIENTS AND STILL THE BEST VALUE FOR YOUR DOLLAR.

Thanks for your consideration Steve.

I moved from Blackwater Gold to F&S super grow and wasn't impressed with it. Moving back to BW Gold on the next purchase. Having a good source for that without paying more than we were would be great. If AES or Blackwater brought some pallets to the Orlando show and sold at a good price I am sure they wouldn't have to bring them back. Heck if they offered a good enough price I would just do my food shopping for the year at the show.

Umm...$140 for Max is not a good deal

Its save 15% now, they run better deals. Even at $140 its a deal compared to the alternative sites....AES is running $192, Amazon $171, Blackwater $189, Koi to the World $150, Pond USA $240.

Zero consistency to pricing with the product unfortunately.

Just got this from DF&S:

I do apologize, our website will no be accessible after 02/18/19. However, our Live Aquaria website will remain open and active; which this item (DF&S koi food) is also on there.

But oddly enough it has an expected date for being back in stock for next month. Program running on auto or something else going on? I am waiting for midnight to roll around to see if they do anything else last minute.

Yes I saw that too. I was able to place an order for 2 bags of color. Hopefully the max can be purchased soon.

They extended their 15% off sale and clearance event another week. They may stretch it out to clear inventory at least with a few people remaining to ship out items. It's gotta be cheaper to run that option than ship it all to another warehouse just yet. I was happy to see they are going planning to double the size of live aquaria. Apparently they grow coral and can hold/ship/sell fish cheaper than so many that it was worth keeping around. I know it won't keep the few hundred employees from getting fired but I am sure it at least saved a few jobs.
