OK, I have some babies in a separate container. Some are nearly white, I know for sure those are koi. But I have some that are darker, more the color that I'm used to in goldfish/wakin fry. Is it possible for them to be different colors at only a few days old or did my one remaining goldie follow behind the koi and make me some hybrids? I really wanted to pull him out before the spawn but they spawned a little sooner than I thought. Those darn wakin go at it every few days, but their last spawn was a few days earlier (and later, they never stop) so I know the fry have a koi mom.

I have some koi babies that are white, some yellow and some brown.

I guess it depends on the parentage.

Luke, Cool, I'll go out and look at them in the dark then ;)

I'm not quite sure who the daddy is but the mom is a sanke. The dad (or dads) could be a shiro bekko, kujaku, or goshiki (I think it's a goshiki). I guess we'll see soon enough.
