I have five used pumps for sale. Used very little.
one Evolution ESS 7800 self priming, comes with full two year factory warranty, $400 plus shipping.
Three Evolution ES 8500s, comes with full one year factory warranty, $200 each plus shipping.
one Evolution ES 2500 pump, looks beat up but works great and I'll give a full one year factory warranty with it. $100 plus shipping

how do you prime one of these if you loose power? I have a small (less than 5 second) outage about every 3 or 4 days.
Will a check valve (on the supply side) prevent you from needing to prime it?

Yes, if the pump is installed below water level it won't lose it's prime. If installed above pond water level you need the priming pot and a swing check valve in the suction line, as close to the water source as possible. Then that way won't lost prim either.
