That looks to be a bruise from slapping something. It could be a piece of plumbing, rock coping, skimmer weir. It should heal itself.

I agree with delbert. The body conformation and balance of color are much nicer on the first one.

Jetter nozzles use water pressure to pull the hose through the pipe. If you have a pressure washer. Also breaks up blockage.

Be careful if using any chemical treatments during hot weather .

If you have a pressure washer buy a $10 jetter nozzle and run from the settlement tank to the drain.

I have orfes. At least mine survived PP-treatments. I don´t go upto 4 ppm but 3 ppm, then adding 1 ppm twice, once 30 min after the 3 ppm addition...

Does PP at 4ppm naturally clear up the water once it's gone? Or does it need hydrogen peroxide to give that polish look? I applied 4ppm to my pond...
