I used for following setup using a tubeless tire valve stem. Bottom one for 2" and hooked both together to test 4".

after rumbaging the forums for pressure testing plumbing. not much was found. beyond some simple text.
for most part, AIR is frowned upon. due to possible over pressurizing the plumbing and in which case could cause some very bad injuries to other. as pipes / fittings / text plugs violently blow out and rupture.
water testing is fairly easy to do. it normally revolves around using fernco fitting / rubber fitting to connect a 10 foot pipe to one of the ends of the existing pipes. and then placing test plugs in all ends of all other pipe ends. and then filling water to the very top of the 10 foot section of pipe. and let it stand for atleast 15 minutes. if no water goes down. then you have no leaks.
((NOTE: it is much easier to test your plumbing before you burry the plumbing or place concrete over your plumbing. the test plugs are only a few bucks. and a few bucks compared to already cost entire pond. it should be something very worth while. and not some. oh i don't need to do that. that is something i can cut costs on. think of it this way. how much extra work and how much extra cost will it be, to go through everything to find a leak once you have it all done? meaning digging up dirt, breaking apart concrete, dismantling waterfalls, etc... get it done while you doing not after your done!

But I never thought of taking a picture of THAT!
But you're right on Ryan... we need more documentation of that.
I've got lots of pipe left to test, so this time I'll
get a pic of me making a fool of myself.
