Mine did show finally, all 7 of them. I'll post pictures in a second. Everybody was fine, a bit shocked and a couple bruises, but they will be fine.

I need some clarifications on the growout rules. Must I grow them all out to 6 months to qualify? I ordered 4,so do I take the total growth of all 4 koi,or can I cull and not be at a disadvantage. I'm supposing that the growth is determined by adding the total growth of all divided by the number of koi? I have 2 that I'd really rather not keep any longer. And,what about the extra fish thrown in?

Well since only three people actually posted pictures and relative sizes of their fish this will be a pretty weak competition to begin with. The competition is only based on the number of fish and type of fish that you ordered. The extra fish were thrown in just in case something happened. Take the number of fish you ordered take an average of the beginning fish that you ordered, and after 6 months take new pictures and measurements of the same fish and take new averages. You need to grow out the total number of fish that you ordered. If there are extras that you do not want to growout then you can cull them, but you need to have the full number of fish at the end of the 6 months as you ordered.

I hope that clears that up.

If you loose a fish to suicide then you will not be penalized.

This clause seems to allow for some shenanigans.

Maybe so, but who is going to intentionally loose their smaller fry to win? I'll keep them all even if I'm not the contest winner.

Well considering the one that bailed out was the biggest, I guess I need to feed the smaller ones twice as much to catch up
BTW my extra benigoi is now swimming with the fishes........not literally Found him belly up yesterday morning. no marks. gills fine. only possible issue was a very enlarged abdomen. May have had an intestinal problem. All others are doing great.
