Dick I hope you do not mind me asking why you picked that one. My guess would be the clear fins and white face? Colors also look good to me but then again I am learning and is why I am asking.

Powerman looks like you got some really nice ones. Are these from Quality Koi? I just met Russ this weekend at Waterloo Gardens and he was a cool guy and had some nice koi there. He had one Asagi that was purchased within 5 mins of him releasing them into the show tank. I am looking forward to getting down to his place which is just abit over an hr away. Anyways grats on your new fish.

      Hi John,
A white nose is important, but really fundamental is the scallation and what is often referred to as the "zipper". That koi has nice dark scales that pop out at you, and while the allignment is not perfect it is very acceptable. I also think the red ribbon along the back, each side of the dorsal, shows potential.

Note to Dan.....The shiro are being fed Saki-Hikari growth 5-6X a day at 73 F. The bigger of the two is quite noticably stretching even farthur ahead than it's tank mate.
      The whites are very impressive.

They're looking great Dan. I know they've got the best you can give them having seen your recent water params you shared and also the mix of foods you have been using.
I'm a little intrigued by the longfin bekko story...
Still learning as I go but y'all can call me Marilyn

I'll say something when I feel I have something worth saying. I'm not a fan of flapping my lips just because they are there.
