      will koi eat....

a frog found our mud pond and decided to lay her eggs there... so now we have hundreds of hundreds of frog eggs in our mud pond. my question is.. will small 2-3" koi eat these eggs, tadpoles? are all these frog eggs/tadpoles dangerous to koi?

      thanks
      -eric

I have 2 6" koi in a small pond with about a kzillion tadpoles so, I don't think they will hurt the koi - If the koi are eating them I can't tell, I would think they would be more likely to eat the eggs, but I don't really know - I would be more concerned with the frogs bringing some parasite into the water and there doesn't seem to be much to do about that.

I got Noisy Frogs and then Tons of Tadpoles . I have never noticed my koi eating tadpoles . I wish they would eat them because they all come back next spring to mate . It gets so loud i have to shut the windows and turn on the AC. It drives me nuts. I also will go out and catch as many as i can then relocate them to a local swamp area.

We have the same problem down here in NC - It gets so loud you can't even think. My koi will not eat the eggs nor the tadpoles - I wished they did!!

      Dimilin?

Prazi I think would be a better choice for what you are trying to do.
