      growout dates

I was just wondering if anybody could tell me when the final measurements and pics have to be in for the growout. I wouldn't want to miss out.

I think Carl indicated it was done in the fall because of people in colder climates. Maybe that was just the sanke & shiro utsuri growouts, not sure.

This is being run by, Russ. Hopefully, he will let us know. MY recollection was that it would be a year from shipment, but I may be wrong.

Too funny. I stop by his booth at Orlando show and he was drawing pants on that darn squirrel picture with his computer. He did sell me a auesume Sakai sanke with skin quality that looks airbrush, potential parent stock.

The other growouts, the not Russ ones. Unless Russ wants to get us Ochibas.

I have tried to get nice Ochibas from Japan but they are in short supply. It isn't going to happen.

Russ, if you want the pics in by May 1, 2009, I will post that in your growout forum. Are there any other requirements? Measurements, etc?

A good picture and the measurements would be best. I will forward all of the before and after pictures to Mr. Sakai.

I already posted my pictures, they were taken on the 8th. I can't see draining down my pond just to get another pic 5 weeks from now.

I'm also curious to see how the others are looking, size is yet another issue. Mine has more sumi than expected and more sumi on the way. Really happy with the clean shiro also.

      Brad

Edit: Russ, are you going to have a thread for our official entries?
