What would you pay for a GOSANKE in a growout this year?

I am trying to get an idea of people's spending plans for this year. If we were to have a growout featuring kohaku, sanke or showa, what is the range you would be willing to spend presuming that the koi were of a quality that you would purchase.

      This would be for TOSAI.

Please pick the highest range you would pay.

Would there be insurance like what the good people at Quality Koi do?

No. Do not consider insurance in the price.

I'd prefer a gosanke growout once again all depends on the variety

This is already proving to be very useful. Hopefully, in a few days we will have enough responses to come to some conclusions.

I'd be more interested in Sanke than Kohaku or Showa. Have too many already.

Since I needed to rehome a few koi before I purchase more I missed out on Brady's Kohaku. I guess that is what I would like to see-Koi begin and end with Kohaku ,right?

I'm gonna end up with so many sanke. Why can't we have a tancho growout? Other than the we'd have to pay a lot thing.

Don't really want to participate in a gosanke growout. There are too many great dealers in my area. I can look, choose and make my own mistakes without adding another variable to the selection process.

This is true for me as well. The selection would have to be something we don't/can't usually get so we could really study the attributes of a different bloodline/mix!?

Yes, it was a shame that more could not participate in that growout.

We are going to try to do a better job of spreading these out and not overdoing it.

The poll seems to indicate a strong preference for showa.

I am discussing this with several people.
