Received my new wakins today including the one that was auctioned for Lee B. I got the calico for the prize Tracey offered. Then she threw in a 3rd fish!

      My new wakins arrived too!

What beauties! Tracey mailed out my wakins today, also. These are mine. She also tossed in a little single tail that's cute as a button.Name: Wakin later 029.JPG

Great fish. I wonder what the long term survival of the black will be on calico wakins because they have most likely been crossed to a red and white or red wakin which have very strong decoloring genes. In this type of cross you usually end up with red and white (sakura) non metalic fish.

One of my favorite things about a wakin is the flash off the doubled caudal peduncle, you don't get that in the calicos and mattes...
