      Question Need ready-made filter for 100 gal QT

      can anyone recommend a ready-made filter for a 100 gallon tank? i have air, water, drains, for stock tank with fry in the house for the winter. we can install bottom drain in tank. need something simple for filtration.

      I used to use one of the Tetra PF filters when I had a Q-Tank about that size.

      The Tetra PF works really well for an indoor tank...

      Yet if you study its design, you could make one from a 5 gallon bucket... For that matter, just toss in some lava rock into that 5 gallon bucket that has a discharge close to the bottom and the water pumped over the top.. Bam! Instant trickle tower filter that will work great... If you have a thin sheet of foam (Or cloth) over the lava rock, this could catch crud...

      This could handle any flow up to a max of 1000 gph.. I suggest between 250 to 500 gph...
