I was debating between 9 /5 and 10 . lol . but I thought 5 has the opportunity to be a very unique pattern . I know it is not a big fish pattern and all that but the symmetry ..

Good pick Steve !!!!! That fish was on my short list. Are you picking it up at Brady's or having him take it to the Young Koi Show next weekend?

      Smile fin!

It took me forever to decide and I had to ask a family member which they would prefer. I was stuck between yagozen kohakus number 4 and 6. I think number 4 is a female and number 6 a male. I picked 19 as my first pick and I think it's a male, so I really wanted a female. But the pattern didn't appeal with me and I dislike yellow heads. Hopefully, it really is a toss up with sex on young koi such at these.

So I'll go with yagozen kohaku number 6.

Which bloodline do you think my first pick number 19 exhibits? I'm thinking it's a sensuke bloodline based on the head, not sure though since I'm still new to the hobby.

Na they arn't the same. Yagozen is the kohaku bloodline which I think that koi exhibits while maruten is just a name for the pattern. It is a maruten too though so you could call it a maruten yagozen kohaku I suppose. ( ∀`)

I picked 19 not because of the first step but more because of the conformation and I liked the other steps. The first step is too horizontal but I'm hoping it has some kiwa action that will develop there and not make it look so straight.

This selection has been completed. Congratulations everyone.

Brady hopes to have the nisai pics up by Tuesday, so we will start soon after.

When I get a chance, I will place names on the pics of the selected koi. Time has been tight lately.
