DOn't know what happened but it didn't come through. Don't give up!!
That is a cute little ginrin sanke.. Now for the longfin? Welcome to Koiphen! I see you are in my neck of the woods. You should consider joining a koi club if you haven't already. Let me know if you are interested.
That longfin is beautiful!! Are you going to the PicNic Saturday?
SWEET!! That is a beautiful fish! You must be so proud! Did you go to the pond tour last year? I think I have met you..
Geez! I have to work Sunday too...that is just wrong! Meetings usually are on Sunday but this one is special. I hope you get to come...it will be nice to meet you. The place is just amazing...the most beautiful koi pond you could imagine and the filter room is the size of an apartment! The people that own it are so sweet and giving. I am looking forward to it. I helped with the setup of the show and worked every day except for tear down Monday.
Your longfin is gorgeous! I would love to have a fish that looks like that.
The ginrin sanke looks to have some potential. The kohaku pattern is a bit sparse, but the sumi placement looks to have the potential to balance it out fairly well. Decent looking body and good fins. Beni on GR's is always difficult to read as the GR can make strong beni look a bit pale, but the hi plate on the face looks to be of good quality so the rest may follow suit as the fish matures.
As to the longfin... She's gonna have a lot more freckles before all is said and done. Since you have spawned her I would suggest culling very heavily to look for strong Kohaku patterns and very little sumi. The more sumi they show early the more likely they are to become speckldiegoi mutts
here is an update pic of the gin rin guy
