i took some pictures and measurements today

may 17 2008...................i bowled up the sankes today and took some measurements...these first two pics are of the 6 inch one.....the sun was bright today so i took these in the shade and unfortunately the reflection of the tree is quite evident in the photo........

these two pictures are of the 8 inch sanke

once again the reflections of the tree branches overhead are a little distracting...

and this is the third and last one

it is about nine inches.... all of these fish are in the qt tank for now...it is a 6' pop tank...500 gallons if full but i keep the level down a little so i would say about 450 gallons....it has an ultima ll 2000 for a filter along with a bakki shower...it has lots of air from a dolphin 150 air pump...the tank gets turned over about 4 times an hour so there is lots of current...and it is heated...right now it is at 70 degrees....the tank is by a double window for natural light....this is set up in my garage and i run a de-humidifier in there ........... stocking level is 11 tosai.....

i am removing myself from the sanke grow out contest as i couldn't get update pics or measurements....the fish are in the main pond...14000 gallons and were uncooperative.........with the cool weather coming on i didn't want to stress them any more...i did bowl up the shiros for pics so i guess i am still in that one.....

Well at least they have a huge wonderful pond to live in...I'm having trouble catching mine also for the picture, and my pond is waaaaaaaaaaay smaller.
