80' F w/ 9' deep pond. It's shaded w alot of large oak trees, I'm going to dread the fall w/ the leaves falling.
My pond is now at 86 degrees.
The fish are shaded with lily pads.
I am going to put my Oase aeration pump in this evening.
I have a 15 ft. stream & waterfall going at 6400 to 6500 GPH. My pond is 800 gal. I have been adding water from the hose sprayer in the eveings to help cool the water. Tuesday the temps. will be at 100 degrees.
62 for the big one and 69 for the q tank
Pond has been in the upper 70's low 80's since first of June. 86.5 this afternoon. Limited food since 1 st of July. Usually feed a can of peas about every other evening.
All three stock tanks are 86-88. The 90 and 160 are in the shade til about noon. The 750 is in full sun. The goldies are acting normal eating algae off the sides. The water is clear as of today in the 750. Outside temp was 104 at 2:00. The string algae on my lotus is thriving in the heat.

The most powerful point of suction in the pond occurs at our checking account. It's all Marges fault!
I didn't check the bigger pond. It's usually not a problem, but the small pond hit 90* today. I did a big water change to cool it down.

Our koi tanks are running 83 max for the last week, but we have one kuzu tosai and a half dozen goldfish in a partly shaded stock tank that hit 95 last week! It is about 2/3 covered with water lily leaves, and has an air stone but that's it. The fish are fine, just very hungry!

86 today. Big water change. Next day is going to be even warmer.
Fish want to eat all day. They are very hungry. I have slowed down the food alot. I switched from growth to staple food. I'm worrying the bio bugs will slow down.
Mine is like that too.... Put a big patio umbrella up and will help some but I am definetly going to put a sail cloth up....its just too hot to do it.... Fish act fine.... very lively... begging for food but feeding really lightly..did a 1/3 water change fri night and sunday will probably do one again tonight or tomorrow depending on the temp when I get home.....its 100 with heat index 107 with humidity of 34 % ..WE ARE MISERABLE....ALL OF US... EXCEPT THE FISH! (and I bet they are they just won't tell me!)
Dance like no one's watching!
***I'm still HOT...it just comes in flashes! ***
We are in a hot spell right now. Pond hit 85 today, lake won't go higher than 82...so I've got a bit of a flow through system going right now. Fish are happy but I've stopped feeding. We'll cool down overnight. Got some heat exhaustion myself today...laying low now.
