Let's ask Alexa.
Let's ask Alexa.
59 degrees and I'm using 1400 watts of heaters. They arent doing much for my 1300 gallon tank.
Ask Alexa. Are you listening to my conversations? I love it but a little creepy to me. I still use my anyways
It works really well on my reef tank. I can be up to my armpits in the tank and tell it to turn the pumps off if I need to without having to dry off.
House temp is 77 now. I opened the door to the garage and blowing a fan into the garage. I'm at 60 now and trying to get a bit higher to help with a injured koi.
68
Finally cold enough to fast my herd. Overnight temperature dropped to low 40s. It has been abnormally warm and wet in southern California this year.
Bakersfield is 42-60 degree today. My small herd is fasting for a couple of days
Air temps here haven't been above 40* in almost 2 weeks and the lowest I saw was 14*.
It's currently snowing again. Water changes (30 gallons) happen every 6 hours this time
of year and the well water is about 50*. Pond water temps have stayed around 39*.
Fish are looking like they can't wait for spring.
[QUOTE=OCkoiFan;2704594]Koi thrive @77F or 25C so keep it within the range[/QUOTE. 77 degrees im guessing air temp not water temp right? I need to measure how hot my pond gets when it’s 110 degree size air temp in Bakersfield

Not quite. LOL Since koi live in water, they're more concerned about water temperature. Although air temperature can have a relational affect on water temperature(more so for small or shallow ponds and less in larger and deeper ponds), but yeah, it's mostly water temperature that we talk about when discussing feeding, growth, health, bacteria, parasites, etc...
59 degrees. Fish are active. Take care all
