      And the Oscars go to.........

Me I had oscars years ago.they were in a 45 gallon tank and very quickly outgrew the tank........I gave them to a person who had a 100 gallon tank......

ANyways.I miss having them! Soooooooooooo......I had to buy two ,Tiger Oscars.they are a true Wet Pet! They bond really quick with whoever feeds them.lol.they even wag their tails.they do! So my Xmas wish from Santa is a 100 gallon tank I will build the stand.....might even push that to 150 gallons These guys are only 3 inches long.and already begging for food Whe I had the big ones, they got live feeder fish once a week WIll have to ponder that one now though

Oh now you hit the other side of my heart ... I have a tiger and a red with 2 silver dollars. They are so entertaining and will eat from hand but I've been bit twice so I don't do that often anymore. I'll have to post pics tomorrow.

I had a pair years ago. I really enjoyed them. I had to find them a home because they out grew their tank.

We used to raise angelfish with cheap neons. As the angels grew bigger, the school of neons became angel food fish. It was a fun process.

Those are beauties, Gail! I love oscars, those faces tug at my heart too. I like the way they make eye contact with you. I could not decide what to do with the 100 gallon in the family room, oscars crossed my mind but I know that I would not be able to do the feeder fish thing.....so it's a tetra tank, with Shitl the apple snail. Actually the snail came first and then the fish picked that would get along with her. She fascinates me and has tripled in size in the month we have had her.

Those are some cute babies, Gail. Look at those huge eyes!

I had a pair in a 100g that would spawn, raise the babies for a couple of days, then eat them- over and over. I taught them to swim through a hoop. I cut a ring out of a plastic bowl and tied it to a rock with some string. Also taught them to jump out of the water for a fly but I wouldn't recommend it...guess how I lost them???

      Have fun!
