Hi Douglezzzz
I like the black and white doitsu. I have one like it.
Do you know the breeding? What variety do you call it?
My wife calls him Jimmy
Thats a hard call on Doits.
I "call" it a doits shiro utsuri but the patterning is more like a bekko ?
That one came from Hiroi so God only knows the cross.
Kool looking fish either way.
I 'm ona the few that likes "leather carp"
They look like they're painted with Imron.

That's a really kewl looking fish Dr. Phillips. I'd call him "kawarimono"

This is an interesting Koi. It was bred locally in South Africa and i got it from Chris DuPlessis, Three rivers aquatic. My wife, Reggie wanted a Kumonryo and Chris gave her this Koi as a tossai. As nissai it had an excellent body shape, good white and black. I entered it at a show and it took a prize in Kawarimono. The photo is about a year old but the Koi has grown and kept its shape. The white is still very white and I entered it in another Show. This time it got benched as Bekko and took first prize! I have discussed this Koi with several judges and the possibilities are Doits - Bekko, Shiro Utsuri and Kumonryu. The pattern for a Kumonryu should be linear. This is more of a stepping pattern I still do not know what it is but it is a nice Koi. it has been with us a few years now and it is a favourite in the pond.
Blammotizzed well the walkin and the Ochiba will be here in the morining I just can wait I post updated picture and the wife is going to love her home coming fishies
Bekko, Shiro Utsuri and Kumonryu?(Dr.J's Koi)
Which one would you class it as and why?
