      sealant for treated lumber

what do you guys use for extra sealing when you put treated posts in the ground. I am using some old lumber I had laying around and I am just realizing I should put some extra protective .. something , so that it will last longer. Any advice ?

I use to use creosote. I gave up on putting wood posts into the ground. My advice is to use cement piers or chainlink fence metal posts.
