      Used nexus

Okay Iíve given up on the oase 5000 filter that I have on my 1000 raised pond. Iím thinking about updating to a used second hand nexus system. Do u guys hve any recommendations on which model and where to get from for a great price?

Things for consideration: my pond is a raised wooden pond no bottom drain so the outlet will be powered by a pump.

      Thanks.
This is how the pond sits atm

I’m not a fan of this type at all which I think old school
Looks for better filter type out there

I don't think its old school K1 moving beds are still relevant and I think it may be one of the only legit all in one filters available. As long as the flow limitations of the nexus are good enough for the size of your pond which they would be for a 1000 gal pond it would be a good filter. Another plus is you could upgrade it with a dracodrum RDF and and have a really great filter.

The biggest problem is finding a used one since I don't believe there are a ton of them in the US and due to the size of them you would need to find one local.

Iím kinda tired of manually cleaning my filter sponges every week. How about that nexus easypod?

http://www.koi.com/filtration/eazy-pod.php Looks like easy to Clean for my 1000 gallon setup

I think a used Nexus Easy 200 or 210 would be better.

Indeed a (full-sized) Nexus 200/210 would be superior to the EAzy POD, but the full-sized unit is, well....full-sized (while the POD is much smaller / cheaper). Depending upon fish load, the POD might be enough for a 1000 gallon pond. They are indeed easy to clean, and seem to work fairly well.

Whatís the difference from the 210 vs 220? I saw on inland koi utube channel they have nexus easypod as their filtration system for their display tanks
