      Dear all,
I've just bought these two Sakai Kohaku (15"). I guess they are this year tosai but they are ugly and no one picked them. Could you please let me know if they are good and can I grow them to 29" ?

      Have a nice weekend all

See this one has a body like a torpedo shape for young koi plus the big head wide shoulder area
This one is a big fish pattern if you’re can get it close to 30” then the pattern would looks better as it is more percentage of red than white ground

Both of the bodies are a bit short but, I think the one with less Beni on the head has the better body. It has a thicker tail tube and is more of an even transition from head to tail. The other one is wider at the shoulders and has a pointy head, both have heads that are not ideal, and the ones with wider, pointy heads, and broad shoulders tend to be wider and shorter as they grow.
people like to vehemently defend their purchases and find it incredulous that anything could be better

I think the pattern on the smaller one is interesting.
